This action-packed 1936 adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper's classic adventure novel is set in 1757 at the siege of Fort William Henry during the French and Indian War. Randolph Scott stars as Hawkeye, a colonial frontier scout who becomes a reluctant hero when he is assigned to escort the forts former commander's two daughters safely through Indian territory. Many dangers lurk in the wilderness, particularly a bloodthirsty Huron warrior named Magua who is on their tail and ready to attack.
