Hell In The Pacific (1968)
Region code A,B,C - codefree
It's 1944 in the middle of World War II. A Japanese Naval Officer looks around the small Pacific Island, that he alone has inhabited, to find a yellow life raft near the beach. It belongs to a U.S. Marine Fighter whose plane has been shot down offshore.
At any other time, these two men would have helped each other, but they are at war and stalk each other like enemies. Eventually, the Japanese captures the American and ties him up, only to find positions are reversed when the American overcomes and takes him prisoner. But the American finds no satisfaction in the Japanese, and soon sets him free. They declare an unspoken truce to join and build a raft to help them reach a group of distant islands. Can these two enemies really look beyond their allegiances and put aside the savageness of war to work together?
