For Keeps (1988)
When high school students Molly Ringwald (The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles) and Randall Batinkoff fall for each other, they wind up taking a crash course in adulthood in this contemporary romantic comedy. Darcy is a fledgling journalism student who can't wait to see her name in print. Stan his hoping for a scholarship to Cal Tech. On top of the world and in love, their futures seem idyllic until one little thing throws them off track - a baby. This unexpected "change of events" doesn't sit too well with their moms and dads, who just aren't ready to be grandparents. So Darcy and Stan split from their families, get married and beigin a life on their own with their new "bundle of joy." It doesn't take long before the honeymoon is over, diapers are in, and late dates are out. But in the end, sharing kisses beats doing dishes as Darcy, Stan, and their families discover that the best love of all is...For Keeps.
