Mac and Muff Graham (James Brolin and Deidre Hall), enjoy a life of luxury living aboard their yacht, "The Sea Wind’ until one day, whilst sailing off Palmyra, a deserted island off Hawaii, they mysteriously disappear.
Buck Walker (Hart Bochner) and his girlfriend Jennifer (Rachel Ward) are living on Palmyra for very different reasons, he is a fugitive from the law. When they are found aboard "The Sea Wind" soon after the disappearance of the Grahams, Buck and Jennifer are convicted of boat theft on the high seas. And when Muff’s body surfaces six years later the charge turns to murder.
