When a struggling newspaper reporter (Warner Baxter) inherits a broken-down racehorse named Broadway Bill, he sees a last chance to save his job and win the heart of his girlfriend (Myrna Loy). Against all odds, he trains the horse for a big race, facing gangsters, crooked gamblers, and a host of hilarious mishaps in this lighthearted underdog story.
